When the Hawaii State Teachers Association (HSTA) received an email from Info Grove showcasing how our mobile app platform has been helping education associations across North America to achieve missions just like theirs, they were intrigued.

As the state affiliate of the 3-million-member National Education Association, this is the exclusive representative for 13,700 public school teachers statewide.

During our initial meetings with the HSTA, we demonstrated what the platform could do and how we’ve helped other educational associations improve their ability to communicate with and engage their members through a mobile app on our platform.

After discussing with other educational associations and learning about their experience working with Info Grove, HSTA decided to move ahead with the development of their own mobile app on our platform and the Info Grove team quickly got to work.

The HSTA represents and supports teachers in collective bargaining, as well as with legislative and professional development issues and saw how a mobile app could help improve the experience of their member teachers.

Mobile App Development Process

The development process was efficient and both the HSTA team and our Info Grove team enjoyed bringing this project across the finish line.

Through our work with the HSTA team, we were able to develop a mobile app that allows members to:

• Access contract information, member benefits, and other important union-related resources.
• Stay up to date with the latest education-related news, events, and professional development opportunities.

The app also allows active HSTA members to unlock additional benefits like being able to quickly connect with a union representative for support and take advantage of member-exclusive financial workshops and retail discounts.

The HSTA wanted their members to be able to search and find the most relevant information, so we set their app with content divided geographically, allowing members to access content that is relevant to their specific location.

Their new mobile app has allowed the HSTA to provide a more seamless, streamlined experience for their members.

As with all of our clients, we ensured that the HSTA team learns how to use the Info Grove content management system (CMS) to easily change, update, add and remove content on the app. The platform also allows them to add and change modules, meaning more features and benefits for HSTA members. The Info Grove platform allows educational associations to have a mobile app that’s ready to grow and evolved with their needs.
