You’re nearly there. You’ve made it through the most challenging steps of taking a mobile app from concept to deployment. Congratulations.

There is one last thing we need before we can hit ‘publish’ and make your app available for download–we need to gather the information and content that is shown on the download page. This is the page somebody sees on either the App Store or Google Play before they choose to download your app.

This includes the final name of your app, the App Store category it should be included in, screenshots of the final app design, etc. The Info Grove team will provide you with a Publication Checklist that clearly outlines all of the information you’ll need to provide so we can bring your app across the finish line and hit ‘Publish’.

Sharing the Good News

Once your app is live on both stores, you’ll want to start sharing the download link with your members. While it would be great if the expression “if you build it they will come,” was true here. It’s not, unfortunately. You’ll need to put some effort into marketing your new app to let people know it exists and what they can expect when they use it.

Fortunately, Info Grove has helped many unions and associations launch and provided them with ideas on how to market their new mobile apps. We’ve incorporated all of the best practices, tips and strategies for a successful launch in our Marketing Guide for Unions and our Marketing Guide for Associations that we share with all of our clients.

Celebrate

Wrangling everyone involved and managing a technical project when you might not be technical yourself is a feat. Don’t forget to take a moment to celebrate your launch. Plus, we still need to train you and your team on how to use Info Grove’s content management system so you’ll be able to make changes and updates on your own.
