The Delaware State Education Association (DSEA) is a teacher and education professionals’ association in the state of Delaware. DSEA represents the over 12,000 classroom teachers, specialists, and education support professionals working in Delaware public schools.
DSEA members provide a wide range of services to the students and the communities they live in.

DSEA members are dedicated to providing the best educational opportunities to the nearly 130,000 Delaware students in area schools and in order to better serve their members and help them do the jobs they love, the DSEA was looking for ways to improve communication.

The DSEA had a mobile app in place, but it wasn’t meeting their needs, so they had begun looking for a new mobile app developer to work with.

Several state Education associations have worked with Info Grove to have their own mobile apps developed, which caught the attention of the DSEA.

Key Mobile App Features for the Delaware State Education Association

Like many associations, DSEA was looking for ways to improve communication with their members, streamline processes and provide a more convenient way for their members to access information. They wanted a members’ app where they could share information and events and communicate via push notifications.

DSEA also wanted to easily integrate their mobile app with the NEA360 system they already use to help authenticate their users when logging into the app. Members have an ID number through the National Education Association (NEA) that they can use when downloading and logging into the DSEA mobile app.

Info Grove was able to deliver everything the DSEA needed for their new mobile app. The app, called DSEA Member Connect, is now available for members to download. From the app, they’ll find an up-to-date list of DSEA events, key member resources and information, professional development courses and schedules and legislative news and updates. They can also access their DSEA and NEA benefits and curate their own news feed so they only see the most relevant information when they login to the app.
