The New Jersey county worked with Info Grove to develop a mobile app that allows them to stay connected with their residents.
Located just 30 miles west of New York City across the New Jersey border, Morris County has a population of just over half a million. Named after Lewis Morris, Governor of New Jersey at the time of the county’s creation in the 1730s, today, it’s ranked as one of the top 20 most affluent counties across the entire United States of America.
What Does Morris County Clerk’s Office Do?
All US counties need a robust clerk’s office for record-keeping. Under the leadership of Ann F. Grossi, Esq, the Morris County Clerk’s Office processes much of the nitty-gritty paperwork involved in day-to-day life for its residents. This includes passport and ID card applications, trade name certificates, deeds, mortgages, liens, maps … put it this way: They’re an agency of record for many different, but necessary, areas of life.
Perhaps most importantly, the office plays an integral part in elections, through preparing mail-in and sample ballots, nomination petitions, and the tallying of election results.
Like many local government bodies across North America, Ann F. Grossi’s team were looking to find a modern, practical way to keep residents informed and connected with the information they provide and the services they offer. The all-in-one solution? A customized app for county residents.

Developing the Morris County App
Over the last quarter of 2021, we collaborated with the Clerk’s Office to develop their mobile app. Following our tried-and-trusted app development process, our teams worked together to define the criteria for a mobile app that could deliver value to residents, without the costs usually associated with app development.
Now launched, the app allows Morris County users to:
- Stay informed about the latest news updates
- Contact individual members of the county Clerk’s Office
- Browse the county’s enormous archive of legal documents and resources in their Records Vault
- Schedule an appointment to apply for a passport
- Download essential forms, like mail-in ballots for local elections
…and much more.
The Morris County Clerk’s Office app is available to download now for iOS and Android, and you can find out more about them on their official website. If you’re a Morris County resident, we’d love to hear your feedback on how the app has helped you stay connected with the work the office is doing every day.
