Ontario Insulators Launch Insulators Local 95 App!

The Ontario Insulators (Insulators Local 95) represent a highly skilled workforce of certified insulation mechanics registered with the Ministry of Labour. With more than 80 years of industry experience, the union has built a strong reputation for quality workmanship, safety, and professionalism. Founded in the early 20th century, Insulators Local 95 continues to train the next generation of tradespeople through a certified apprenticeship program, ensuring members meet the highest industry standards while working in accordance with Ontario’s safety and labour regulations.

The team at Ontario Insulators approached us looking to build an app that would help form valuable connections between their apprentice members and their vetted mentors. Our team reviewed their requirements and prepared a proposal with 2 options: A web-based fully custom application OR a mobile app powered by the Info Grove platform. After a few discussions, the team at Ontario Insulators settled on the second option as it offered a faster turnaround time as well as a lower cost allowing them to meet both their timeline and budget.

As with all Info Grove projects, we started with a kick off meeting to review the organization’s branding, discuss user management requirements, and identify the key features and content needed for the app. From there we presented 3 different design concepts that aligned with the Ontario Insulators brand. Once the design was approved and the content gathered, we configured the app and built out its features using the Info Grove system. We then provided a beta version of the app for review by the Insulators 95 team. Once the review and feedback process was completed and the app was approved, we published the app on their behalf. We then followed up with a complete training on the Info Grove Content Management System (CMS) empowering the team at Insulators 95 to easily manage and update their own content independently.

• A list of member benefits
• Updates from the union
• Industry news
• Timely notifications on important news

As with all Info Grove powered mobile apps, the team at Insulators 95 can easily manage all the features and content as they see fit. The app is available for free on iOS and Android.
