Over the years, Info Grove has gone through quite a few user interface improvements. First launched as a hamburger menu app back in 2016, we were quick to add support for our beloved grid menu and then the various grid menu options (circles, squares, images). In 2017, we introduced our dashboard module to provide a more laser focused user interface. The design then stabilized for a few years as our focus shifted towards adding more functionality to the platform. In early 2024, as we started to plan the features for our 5.0 release, we felt that a UI refresh would go hand in hand with this major release. We worked tirelessly to review all the views and find ways to improve them while still keeping functionality and ease of use at the forefront. We are very proud of the results. Here are the major changes:
Lighter Overall Feel
The user interface has been redesigned to provide a lighter, fresher and more modern user interface. Gone is the dark navigation bar, in a lighter more natural one. The brand colour lightly appears as a gradient in the background of most views.
Search More Prominent
The search feature for all lists has been made more prominent providing an easier way to search what you are looking for.
Easier Access to Maps for List Views
Access to maps within our list has been made easier as they are now available in a tab that can easily be accessed at the top of the view.
Increased Photo Size in Contact List Details View
The image area has been increased in the details view of our contact list to enhance the look of the view.
Additional Options for Image Formatting in List Views
Our lists now allows you to adjust how images are treated in the list and the details view. Fit Center, Center Crop, or Fit allows you to get exactly the image treatment you are looking for.
Improved Experience for Start Up Views
The entire app initial launch wizard experience has been revamped to improve the flow and usability.
Increased Map Size in List Details View
The map section in our list details view has also been increased to provide an easier glimpse of the map.
Improved Parent Views
Parent views now support larger icons and are represented using a new card style.
Images in Schedule Views
Our schedule views now support images in the event details view providing a richer experience.
